Green Life Is Coming

What is green life? Usually, I call the life without pollution green life. Now only the direct pollution but also indirect pollution will be avoided. So that, we need to deal with waste produced by us and use clean products. Actually, it’s not easy for any of us. So we are trying to get to the goal step by step. For periods, people are working hard to deal with garbage, and now we have achieved much. Now we also started to use green products, like solar street lights and some other solar products.

Residents living in single-family homes in Côte des Neiges-Notre Dame de Grâce will get new, larger recycling bins this fall in a bid to increase recycling and reduce litter. Recycling bins make it easy for us to deal with garbage. They are easy to place at the curb, and will allow people to recycle more than the small traditional green bins.

The borough already has given larger, 360-litre bins to buildings with more than nine residences, he said. Borough staff will evaluate which kinds of bins should be given to people living in buildings with eight residences or less, he said.

People living in the borough are still testing a prototype of a hybrid bin-bag designed specifically for the city of Montreal. The new street lights, which cost between $5,000 and $6,000 each (compared to about $8,000 for a traditional street light), are in Paul Doyon Park at the corner of Monkland and Girouard Aves. What’s more the solar street lights could produce electricity for lighting, so that they could save great amount of money by this way. It’s a good news that the energy saving solar powered street lights are also money saving.
