Solar street lights and other street light solutions using advanced solar technology

Just walk around in the night, you could see a street lights every few steps. They are beautiful and also very useful. But, do you know when and who invented the street lights? I am also interested, so I’d like to do some research about the history of street lights.

People began using street lights about 1 thousand years ago in Arab Empire. And then London began using street lights in 1417. Firstly, the street lights are used as Luxury. Then government began to use the street lights for citizen convenience. Until now, the street lights are still playing the same role as many years ago. And street lights of the United States were first invented by the famous inventor Franklin in 18^th century.

Candle times: The street lights were lit by candle when it was invented by Franklin in 18^th century. The candle has to be placed in a glass vessel to keep the candle from being blown out by wind.

Gas lights times: Gas was invented in 1792 in the Great Britain. And it spread all over the world quickly also the United States.

Electric lights times (or modern times): The first functional lighting bulbs were invented by Edison. The electricity is a miracle; it changed people’s lives entirely. Most of the streets are still using light bulbs as their street lighting when the newly invented solar street lights are struggling for replacing the outdated energy consuming street lighting.

What will happen in the future? I can not foresee the development of street lights. With the depletion of gas and coal, the electricity produced with these resources will get more and more expensive, so the energy saving solar street lights will replace all the legacy lighting in the next few years.
