How Does a Solar Street Light Work Well?

Solar energy is known as an environmentally ‘clean’ energy. The applications for solar powered lighting systems are endless.Solar street lights technology is one of these illustration solutions of solar energy. Due to a solar street lighting system, you have no need to cost for trenching and installing underground wiring. They have been developed in mainly African, Middle Eastern and Asian countries, and are adopted by more and more European and American countries. Solar street lights are economically feasible.
In more specific detail, the basic unit is the solar panel, which can convert the energy given out by the sun into electricity. We are familiar with quite large solar panels for domestic or industrial use. In the context of solar street lights, the solar panels need to be appropriate to different weather conditions, even on cloudy days. The solar panel is connected to a solar controller with a battery charger on the top.  It can ensure the solar street lights to work well in the hours of darkness. The batteries need hardly maintenance.
Different kinds of lamps are utilized in solar street lights. At present LEDs is the most promising source of light. The advantages of LEDs are considerable. Other lamps include Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs), which generate a white light and are effective for providing good color rendition and High Intensity Discharge lamps (HID). Compared to LEDs, both HID and CFL rely on a high voltage, specific current and frequency in order to function.
To summarize, solar street lights work by using a solar panel to transfer the solar energy into electricity. A circuit charging the battery lights the lamp, which is managed by a timer to control the lighting time.
