Peshawar to be equipped with solar street lights

There many cities installing solar street lights to replace their conventional street lights, for example Bradenton, Gir village, and Haiti after the earthquake. Now, the Peshawar will witness the sun-powered street lights soon, as a project has been set off in this connection on tentatively in the city to tackle the power crisis, Geo News reported Thursday.

Peshawar Development Authority started the project in Hayatabad, where on two points, solar street lights energized by solar energy, have been installed. A street light accompanies two batteries of 50 kilogram and solar plates.

According to the PDA, these lights will be installed in different areas of Hayatabad if the pilot project turns out successful. It’s great news that many countries are attempting pilot installation. If they get some good results, large-scale use of will be very easy. Now we are nearer to our green goal.
